Artists Statement / Bio
In my figurative work I want to make an emotional commotion between the subject's eyes and the viewer. I have been inspired by my travels around the world and the people I have met. I have always felt a deep and personal connection with all the people from the many cultures that I have encountered.
In the abstracts, I paint from a virtual musical zone where the images flow seamlessly forehand to canvas expressing joy and amazement.
The Flowers make me happy and optimistic. Time in nature is renewing. I make them as detailed as I can while eliminating any distractions Sometimes I follow the Japanese wabi-wabi influence where everything is not perfect but the imperfections make it more precious.
